Dear Fleetwood Residents,
There has been a recent increase of incidents whereby pets are being let out of owners’ properties without being on a leash. Please can we urge all pet owners to please adhere to the rules of the complex and ensure that all pets are on a leash when being walked around the complex? Pets may be walked off leash inside the property between 20h30 and 21h30, but please maintain your dog’s behaviour, especially around other residents walking their pets during that time, so that no un-nessary incidents can occur.
This recent problem also seems to be accompanied by the problem of pets fouling the common areas, as well as private residents’ property. Please ensure that you clean up after your pets.
Unfortunately, the above issues means that a fining system has now been implemented, which will be charged to your levies account should any persons not adhere to the Fleetwood rules pertaining to the above.
The initial fine will be R250 for the first offence and any such reoccurrence will result in incremental fines being levied for each repeat offence. (Second offence will be R500, third R750 etc).
Could we please ask that anyone who sees any infringement of the above let us know soonest so that we can keep on top of this and hopefully see a decrease in this behaviour in the coming months?
We live in a beautiful complex, so let us keep it that way and be respectful of our neighbours and their properties!
